Jul. 5th, 2017 01:39 pm Basic Rundown NAME: Cassandra 'Cass' Caine, AKA Orphan (it's her superhero name shhh). AGE: Like 17ish it's never nailed down. PREMISE: Super assassin raised in a torture basement, not taught spoken or written language until a late age so that her brain would compensate by learning 'body language'. Somehow this pseudoscience bs worked, and Cass can read intentions in body movement and posture, and fight like breathing. But she can't communicate worth shit, unless you want to go full charades. She's also given up killing, and wears a ninja costume everywhere and fights crime on the streets of Gotham. Basically nocturnal. Fan of ballet. Knows Kung-Fu. First Impressions VISUAL: She's a special girl. FASHION: If she's not in her Orphan suit, I'll let you know, dude. But she is probably in the Orphan suit (linked above). DEMEANOR: Quiet and deadly still. She is extremely conservative with her movements, but when she does move, it's with incredible fluidity and strength. She has mad economy of motion, basically. SOUND: Doesn't talk much. Doesn't make much noise at all, really. When she does talk, it's with the slow hesitation of someone speaking a third or fourth language they're not sure if themselves in. SCENT: Leather and dust. MENTAL INFORMATION: Her mind is a confusing mess of trauma, guilt and mourning. Poke around at your own risk. I love mindreading plots, so lmk if you want to do one and I'll give you more deets. OOC BACKTAGGING: Go for it. I tend to be pretty fast, but I don't mind tagging with people of any speed or style. FOURTHWALLING: Sure, I guess. PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Please! She'll love it. PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: I would love to do some action with her, man. I don't mind the level of violence, I'm good with basically anything short of torture outright. Cass is a crazy good fighter who can take most people in a fair fight, and enjoys sparring generally. RELATIONSHIPS: Not unless you're willing to do something very, very, very, very slow burn that isn't likely to be physical for even longer? Like middle school handholding will probably be the peak. For this character, I don't want to skip into 'assumed' shipping where the relationship is handwaved over. But if you're up for it, so am I; no preference between m/f or f/f. Wishlist & Notes CANONMATES: Any and all bats and robins are more than welcome! Gothamites in general! I am super fond of Cass' relationship with Clayface, Steph, and Tim. I'd also love to flesh out relationships she has less of in the comics, like with Jason and Damian. And I'd love for her to meet characters she's never met in threads! CROSSCANON: Ending up in some other world sounds like fun to me! I'm not so secretly a big X-men fan, so superhero crossovers are always welcome. While I'm not familiar with every canon, I'm definitely up to do new things! AUS: I love universe visit corssovers where one person ends up in someone else's universe. I also like the idea of AUing Cass into another setting, but I'm not interested in mundane ones like coffee shop / high school / college / retail / whatever. Zombie apocalypse Cass is much more my speed. MISC: I'm really only familiar with n52 / Rebirth Cass, sorry. That said, I have zero problems mashing universes and would love to thread with all DC babies regardless of continuity, just know I'm not intimately familiar with every aspect of preboot Cass' background beyond broad strokes :x I love cross-canon shenanigans, being dropped into a different dimension, and weird aus.
